Jittery jottings of a coffee addicted restaurant owner

The glamorous things we do

Or how to spend a Saturday afternoon.

We spent this past Saturday in the garage.
We didn’t sweep it out.
We didn’t organize the rusted and unused garden tools.
We didn’t clean off my workbench. (I know its under there somewhere)
We didn’t clean the layer of dust and cobwebs off the patio furniture.

Hoey, the buffet is ready!

Honey, the buffet is ready!

Didn’t uncover the little red car and get it ready for another summer of running the back roads.

Nope, didn’t do any of that.

The garage sale season is fast approaching.  When our neighbor John passed by walking his beautiful German Shepards, I am sure he must of thought we were setting up for one.

Nope not even a garage sale. I am sure glad we aren’t in that business. It is highly competitive and haggling over the price of things marked for a quarter really isn’t my thing.

What we did do for a better part of  Saturday was set up a buffet line in our garage. Yep, A mock buffet line in the garage.
Brought our coffee cups out. Put on our jackets and set it up. Arranged it, re-arranged it, re-did it, arranged it again and finally settled on the ideal set up.

Took pictures, documented everything, came up with even more ideas and then dismantled it.

Sure beats the heck out of setting this thing up at 10pm Saturday night and fighting over what goes where.

We are pretty excited about our Easter buffet.

Yeah, I know it’s a glamorous life we independent restaurant owners lead.
